Position: Yardi Administrator
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid: Remote most Mondays and Fridays)
Hours: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Yardi Administrator who will serve as the organization’s primary expert and hands-on practitioner for all Yardi platforms. This role ensures that Yardi is a fully functional, reliable, and effective tool for staff across Finance, Property Operations, and other departments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust across teams.
The Yardi Administrator oversees system administration, optimization, reporting, and user support for Yardi Systems and related platforms. This role plays a key part in advancing Mutual Housing’s business intelligence capabilities—helping staff access clearer data, identify trends, and make more informed operational and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
Initial Priorities (First 0–6 Months)
- Evaluate current Yardi systems, workflows, and configurations to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
- Redesign or reconfigure processes to improve usability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Update and maintain Yardi manuals, process documentation, and user guides.
- Retrain and support staff on updated processes to promote consistency and adoption.
Ongoing Responsibilities
System Administration & Support
- Serve as primary administrator for Yardi products including YardiOne, Voyager 7S, RentCafe Affordable, RightSource, PayScan, BillPay, Payment Processing and Checkscan, Aspire eLearning, Forecast IQ, Job Cost, and additional modules.
- Provide daily system support, troubleshooting, and coordination with Yardi representatives.
- Manage system maintenance: user setup, permissions, security groups, integrations, and data integrity testing.
- Expand business intelligence capabilities within Yardi as the organization grows.
Project Management & Implementation
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Research emerging Yardi products and evaluate their fit for organizational needs.
- Lead implementation of new Yardi modules, including planning, testing, and staff training.
Training & Documentation
- Develop and maintain user manuals, training materials, and video resources.
- Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for staff.
- Enhance reporting, dashboards, and data structures to support operational insights.
- Manage and update Aspire eLearning course content.
Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support
- Partner with Finance to ensure Yardi supports accounting and reporting needs.
- Support Property Management with RentCafe websites and ongoing functionality.
- Collaborate with Housing Development, Community Development, and other teams to integrate Yardi tools into daily operations.
- Align technology solutions with organizational goals and business needs.
Qualifications:
Required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in Yardi administration, IT systems management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of Yardi modules and system architecture.
- Experience leading system implementations and cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated ability to create training content and deliver effective user education.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to exercise sound judgment.
- Must successfully pass criminal, DOJ, and other standard background checks.
Preferred
- Experience in affordable housing, nonprofit, or property management environments.
- Vendor and project management experience.
- Experience with business intelligence, data analysis, and/or automation.
